Terms of use.
Drive safely, be decent in Friends, and know that Kaido is a logbook, not a navigation or safety tool.
Drive safely
Kaido records on its own, so you never need to touch your phone while driving. Don't use the app while you drive. Obey traffic laws and speed limits, and pay attention to the road. Kaido doesn't reward or rank driving fast, and you shouldn't drive differently because of anything it shows.
What Kaido is
Kaido is a personal logbook of the drives you've taken. It is not a navigation app, a speedometer, a safety system or an official mileage record. Routes, distances, speeds and maps come from your iPhone's sensors and public map data, and they can be wrong or incomplete. Don't rely on them for navigation, tax, insurance, legal or business records.
Suggested routes, such as Take me somewhere new, open in Apple Maps or Google Maps. Check that a road is open, legal and safe before you take it.
Friends
Friends is optional. If you join, don't use usernames or photos that are offensive, hateful, sexual, or someone else's, and don't harass anyone. You can block and report other users in the app. We may remove names, photos or profiles that break these rules, usually within 24 hours of a report, and we may stop someone from using Friends.
Your content
Your drives, photos and posters are yours. We don't claim ownership. When you share a profile or a ride in Friends, you let other Kaido users see it in the app until you turn sharing off or delete your profile. See the privacy policy for exactly what is shared.
Map data
Kaido uses map data from © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), map tiles from © OpenFreeMap and © OpenMapTiles, region outlines from geoBoundaries (CC BY 4.0), vehicle data from NHTSA vPIC, and Apple Maps. Each belongs to its owners.
Apple's terms
Kaido is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to it. Apple isn't responsible for Kaido or its support.
No warranty
Kaido is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app, or for anything that happens while you drive. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: taikishik@gmail.com.
